The connection between Giants receiver Victor Cruz and the family of six-year-old Jack Pinto intensified on Tuesday.
According to NorthJersey.com, Cruz visited Jack’s family home, meeting with Jack’s family and other young children from the town. Several hours after Cruz arrived, kids left with signed jerseys and footballs.
Cruz contacted Jack Pinto’s family on Saturday night after learning that he was a big fan of the third-year receiver. Cruz honored the boy by writing “Jack Pinto, My Hero” on Cruz’s cleats.
Said Cruz after the visit on Twitter: “Much love to the entire Pinto family. Great people with huge hearts. I’m sorry again for your loss. Looking at life through a different lens.”
Jack Pinto was laid to rest Monday, wearing a Victor Cruz jersey.
